supposedly, the 0w20 is a bit better for mileage, but i doubt you'll see any substantial increase. i'd just stick with 5w30.

A guy at PepBoys told me Lucus 85W90 was the way to go for my rear diff; It cost $7.00 more per quart than anything else sold there. Any good word for why this is.

i think the lucas is a synthetic, so thats why it may be more. its probably not as good as mobil1 though, and i run mobil175w90 in my diffs. maybe the lucas, being 80w90 isnt synthetic though. not sure why it would be more.

Let me know how that goes. I used the same stuff and my rear end growelled, and whined like I was killing it. I changed the fluids in the rear 3 times, then finally just had the dealer do it. Nice and quiet now. I have read that the Toyota's LS, doesnt like the Mobile 1 Gear oil very much.

with the limited slip, and using the mobil1 ls gear oil......kinda funny, but you still gotta add the friction modifier to it...........and i have heard this alot before from people, that its because mobil1 doesnt use enough of the stuff for the ls in the oil.

i use the 75w90 ls mobil1 in my diffs and they are fine, but then again, mine are open/rear locker, so it doesnt matter about the lsd additive.

amsoil may perform a hair better in tests, but with regular change intervals, the mobil1 is awesome, and you can get it locally. pricewise....amsoil is more costly.
