I know right. The longer days don't feel right when it's 20° out

When I got home today, the wind had dropped a tree on the power lines. Had to drag out the generator to get dinner ready. Sure was cold out there dragging that thing along the sidewalk to the back of the house where the outlet is. Damn snow piles didn't help neither... Then two hours later, lights come back on and it's time to drag everything back to the garage.

ARB is $1,100 shipped on 4WheelParts. Figure another $100 or so for a cheap plastic bumper to hack up to fill the gap and another $125 or so if you want the fog lamp kit.

I know they're not terribly popular, but I love the ARB. It also saved me a bunch in my accident, I'm sure.

That's one of my favorite to shoot. Won a 22LR last year at the Friends of the NRA dinner. A large loop Golden Boy would be nice...

I didn't even see your post.

I'll post this again, just because it shows how strong the bumper was. This was going 30 mph mashing the brakes as I noticed the car crossing the center line. Whether or not he hit the brakes, I don't know.

That's exactly what comes to mind. Larger winglets to protect the cab a bit better vs the thin ones.

Just saw a commercial for some Toyota TRD show on Velocity Sunday nights.

It just ruins your frame if you get hit!

That being said, I wish I could justify the cash for one for the new truck. Stupid small human killing my budget.

Mikey, that's ok that it took the frame out. I would think if you had the plastic bumper that side would have been pushed way back toward the cab instead of, what appears to be, down.

Oh absolutely. I'm sure it would have been brutal without the bumper. At first I thought it was wild that the bags didn't blow, but then I stuffed the Mazda and that didn't blow the bags either, so maybe you have to be going a whole lot faster for that to happen.

Oh, she's in total agreement. We're over the moon for the kid, but we're also terrified about how best to pay for her. We've already forgone the planned final vacation before she arrives so we can get a few more things done on the house. Since the wife is a teacher, the only weeks she can travel are vacation weeks and the airlines triple the cost of flights, so my air miles that would get us to and from somewhere tropical gets one of us one leg of the journey.

I know it will be worth it in the end, though.

I can imagine, watched my sister sweat the details..and more recently my childhood friend who just had his first last week. Part of me wonders what I missed, the other says I didn't want to grow up

Oh, I'm not growing up. That would be terrible. Admittedly I'm the world's most boring 18 year old in my mind (I was hardly a rebel during my 18-25 years...like overtly boring) but I'm not becoming an old person who wears Dad khakis and Nike Air Monarchs.
