What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The solid light everywhere instead of the splotchiness of the leds? Lol

 

I REALLY like the look, the only thing i don't like is that they are not a white light, other than that I've liked the output of light. Overall I'm a fan since they are identical to the retros with just the one projector.

 

Good to know. I would replace the stock bulbs with hids, so the color of the light is fixable.

 

Installed a fuse box for lights. Might not be the prettiest install but it works.

 

yeah i wanted to too but couldn't really figure out how to change just the bulbs

 

No one from the sites seemed to know how too change them...

 

Thanks for the info. I'm not interested in a lift at this point so I think I'm just gonna scoop up a set of those rims and throw some 265/65 17's on them. Will hold me over until the lift bug bites...

I'm in the same boat myself. I need tires soon so lift has to wait. Gonna do a cab mount chop while I'm waiting to do lift

I would suggest buying the best machine you can afford. You will be happier with it and it will resell easier if you decide to get rid of it.

MIG is easier for most people to learn on but you can easily do it with stick or TIG as well. I would suggest something like a Miller 211 or equal. It is a 110/220 machine and will greatly outperform a 110 volt unit.

 

For this reason, and because they look good, this is a good choice imho

 

Just do the retros yourself, I just did mine with the morimoto d4s's and their kit was super easy to install. Follow the thread on here about doing them and you'll have zero problems. No Need to sand the back of your housings with their newest kit. I'd give the project a 3/10 difficulty rating. I know everyone wants fully painted/hydrodipped like defconbrix, but the reality is a grand for lights is a steep entry point. the 3 hundo and change for the kit was worth every penny. I went with the panamera shroud and amber/white led switchbacks and no halos. Minimal tinkering to get them straight, but once you do you'll be stoked!
