The gussets themselves aren't too expensive it's the labor involved to install them that gets you. Although I do know that Ant had his done at Carrol's Rod & Racecraft in NJ for like $250. In reality I'd think I'd pay that just to avoid pulling the whole front end apart.

 

Think yours are upgraded like the T4Rs. Remind me to look on Saturday morning.

I am so glad I have a friend that owns his own meineke shop. He did my exhaust reroute and put a flow master with duals. For free. Then we are putting all the skids on tomorrow. Putting on the lift shocks for the hood. Mounting the breather. Changing out the brake lines for the ones on sale in the buy section. Custom length in red.

 

@loosnut cut mine off with a plasma torch.

Nah. I have been wanting to wheel lately, but I've got a few things on the truck that need to be taken care of. Couple minor repairs plus lots of maintenance. Also, the more I wheel still stock, the more I am likely to break, thus delaying mods. And the drive + daily fee also delay mods.

I'd love to see your 3rd gen wheel though. Yet to see one on a trail.

 

Yeah I'm a little nervous. There isn't a scratch on it. But had to get all the steel under her. I said I'll leave 1 steel plate off and that's the thing that will break. I will be taking pics tomorrow as the skids go on.

Haha yeah I can definitely see the apprehension with a brand new truck. The newer something is, the more a scratch hurts. I don't blame you for wanting to have it protected as much as you can before heading out.

As for me, I figure the IFS works to soften my hits just fine

 

My 11 year old is going. I'll have him move the branches for me. He doesn't do anything else. Put him to work.

 

That's got to be one of the best approaches to parenting I've seen in a while lol

 

And I might just hit the gas and mud him up. That would be some funny shit right there. He is gonna man the cb. Hes stoked about that. C'mon
