I figured I'd really like to just see if that price is really cost. I have a feeling it isn't. They don't actually ship it they just put the order through frontrunner

I purchased a FR roof rack on the GB that @ramonortiz55 set up through Blueline and am totally satisfied with the price I paid. It might be their cost (who your dealing with) but not the cost of a true FR distributor on a different price structure.

Bad start for you. I say cut your losses, get a refund and purchase from a reputable distributor. Maybe another GB will be forthcoming that you jump on as well. Good luck.

How excited were you OP at that sale price?

I had the exact thing happen to me with an electronics store. They cancelled my order and said... nothing actually. I was livid. Mostly because of how stoked I was at taking advantage of the deal and then it was all taken away...

Anyway I got over it. Didn't buy the product and will still probably use them in the future.

I would 100% honor the price. It's only $140, if that bankrupts your buisness you shouldn't be in buissness. Everyone makes mistakes how they handle them shows their true character.

There is a difference with what you are stating above and what happened. He has a receipt. In other words, there was an offer and an acceptance--the payment processed-- and consideration (the $$ they processed; the rack they are selling). All of those are elements of a legal contract. Once a legal offer has been made, the offering party is bound to its terms if the other party accepts. It was only after-the-fact that they decided to change the deal. He has, in my non-lawyer opinion, a legal claim to breach of contract.

Personally, I would press them for the $600 whatever deal. If they didn't budge or canceled the order I would blow up their spot on twitter and move on to a company that didn't suck. Unless yo uwanted to find out how the court system worked and sue them. But that would be pretty expensive.

If it was intentional then I totally agree.
If it was a truely a mistake I don't think the courts would even... maybe small claims court but the company offered to give a refund. No harm at that point.

A social media campaign I think is the only real avenue for showing his displeasure IMO.

Most mistakes when it comes to pricing/bidding a job is who didnt sharpen their pencil first. But most honest businesses will stick to their adverized price versus looking bad on social media. Ive seen news articles of airlines flying single passengers before.

What if other people ordered something due to price? Think bigger picture like if Amazon lists the wrong price (fulfilled by amazon, not a 3rd party) or best buy, they will issue a stop-sale and refund and void everyones orders. Its not specifically about the money, its about best business practices as people will ultimately exploit these things just for the sake of being a cheap price.

A lil this a lil that.
I just paid more for mine if you want to take a look at my Instagram. It is sturdy but I have noticed a substantial loss in my MPG.

That's part of owning a buisness and being responsible for your actions. Amazon would honor the price, airlines donit all the time.

Amazon doesn't. Happened to me before as well as on Best Buy. Issued stop sale and voided a whole bunch of orders.

They've cancelled my order and sent me a refund.

If your making these mistakes often enough that it runs your buisness into the ground, you shouldn't be in buisness. Like I said I'd honor it and learn from my mistake. If they chose not to then that's their decision and people can choose to spend their money according to how they feel about that decision
