Which batt do you have now and which one are you getting for #2?

And the ML-ACR is a great unit. I'm very happy I chose to go this route instead of one of those 'kits' that are available. Seems like the kits always cheaped out on the solenoid and the gauge of wire.

I am wanting to get a frig so that is why I am installing it in the bed. Plus I will have setup lights and all the things in the RTT hooked to it also.
I have 1/0 ga wire running from the front so I can still tie into it at the relay under the hood.

I didn't like the kit wire either, I am going with welding cables that are a true 1/0ga

 

you'll want rubber for body mounts for quiet isolation and comfort. Poly will transfer more vibes and noise.

Pretty easy to do. 6 bolts per side. Just take em out and rock the body up with a jack. Replace the bushings and bolts repeat on the other side. Not too hard.

The tow bolts in the cab require carpet removal. But pretty easy to get to.

 

Oh that sounds pretty straightforward actually. And anything for ride quality seems worth doing.

yea it isn't too bad. Going to look at doing mine soon i think. 188k..im sure they are about toast.

 

Especially with some of the harsh drops and such you've surely had wheeling. Those should wear them out a lot more than some bumps in the road.

 

yea no doubt. But even so. Rubber gets old and these truck are no spring chickens anymore. Im sure they are just wore out.

 

Without a doubt. It'll be like anything else. You won't notice how bad they've gotten over time until you change them. I am sure it will be especially noticeable on Frank. He's 20 years old now.

You're replaced every other part on Frank. May as well do bushings too haha.

They are boots not bushings
those should last longer then the regular rubber ones

 

Well did the passenger wheel bearing today... well I did it partially. A shop did the pressing and stuff... long day ​
