    yeah I debated a tool box and the short bed only has so much room........it really just comes down to what you are gonna use it the most for. But mine is completely and easily removable for normal stuff and I can throw it in and setup in 5 min to go for a quick camp trip or fishing/hunting trip. I still might do lockable slide out drawers but im not sure if my basic skills could get me the desired results.

    I bolted my toolbox to by bed and used sealant to watertight the holes. I COULD take it out, but I don't want to. Plus it has a bunch of tools and stuff in it. It makes my long bed the size of a short bed lol

    yep, over the years I seem to inadvertently leave them in the truck when I sell it... I've bought 3 of them haha

    5100s, 885s, deaver AAL, Waiting impatiently to install Demello front bumper, Mobtown sliders & skids, and safari snorkel.
    Used to do this with my vee dub(vw) group.
    Its a scenic drive but 35 mph and no passing.

    Yeah I would leave it. But you could still do the bed mod its like maybe $50 in materials or just throw an nice sleeping pad in the bed and call it good. Having the short bed I wanted more storage space out of it. I got rolling plastic storage bins as well to slide under for now with basic gear and dry food. Plus I did the two piece so I could remove if it is just me and have more foot/leg room.
