Well I took my truck in to the dealership Tuesday the 23rd, Power Toyota Tempe, az. To see about getting the leaf springs done under the TSB, aprox. 4 1/2 hours later, the service advisor told me that the parts are on order and that I can bring it back Thursday or Friday to have the work done great news a whole day cooked but good news. So Wednesday morning yesterday. I get a call at about 8:15am, saying I can bring it in the parts are in, and that he will get us a loaner car. I talk to my fiance we say ok and take it in. We go fro a drive do some hiking come back a few hours later still working on it, well about 2 hours later we are notified that it is done, and that I do not have the original battery and that the one in it is not the right amps. Ok so what is the right amp battery I dont know he replies err.I then inform him again that I bought the truck there, he then asks when, I told him November he asks so it was a Toyota certified I say yes he says let me see what I can do, he then comes back and says that Toyota will split the cost of a new battery with me, that they are 120.00 so I pay 60.00 err now that should have been done before I bought the truck. Oh well I will check it and do it my self aftermarket... My springs are done... And upon getting my paperwork again says hey I got this done for you and you are not the original owner so remember that, and come back to get your service done through me. So I get my paperwork and head home noticing right off how much better the truck rides, it doesn't pull side to side, it's smoother wow what a difference. I also notice the steering wheel is not sitting straight, going straight down the road, it is slightly to the left. So I call hime back this morning to ask if they did an alignment he then states that the TSB warranty does not cover the alignment. errr Oh well the springs are done. I may make another post on what brought the battery up to begin with but, I want to wait and see what happens first. :)
    I know long ass post.

Yeah hes giving you crap with that no alignment thing. DO you have TSB pdf? It clearly states in there you should be able to get the alignment done.

Ya I just read that as well. I thought it was in the TSB errr. This will be another trip out there 3 days of my vacation used on this crap. Why doesn't Toyota or there dealers do things right to begin with? Well I called and left a message for Terry Austin at Toyota he is the one I have been dealing with.

If you read the pdf on the rear leaf TSB, it clearly states an alignment is part of the whole process. Print it out, take it to the dealership service department and demand they do it. I effin hate stupid and or lazy techs.

Well Terry of Power Toyota Tempe, AZ just called and said that I must of misunderstood him this morning and that he said that he would be happy to do an alignment if it needed one but, that it probably doesn't. Bull shit he just got his ass reamed by the service manager. errr what a jerk off lies on top of lies!!!!!!!!!! But I am taking it in Sunday to have the alignment done.
I think they just lost all my business!!!

How many miles are on your truck? i bought an 07 from a dealer in Peoria about 2 months ago but it has 45000 miles. I wonder if i can get the TBS done at Power Toyota as well.

Not to mention paying 60.00 dollars for a battery

At dealer cost you just paid in full for that battery
they just hooked it up for you ... but then they sold you the wrong one in the first place didn't they ?

I'm betting this TSB on the rear leafs is a major PIA cash loss for dealers or why else would there be so much carping about it when the vehicles are taken in ?

Any words for a 2006 Tacoma owner that just learned about this TSB and my truck bottoms out all the time in the rear, just thought it was my Bilstines not being any good. I have 70k now on the truck. This is a AWESOME sight I also just found out about. Thanks for the help. "KEEP ON TACOMAING"
