i didn't realize until i started that job, just how many people shouldn't be riding. some of the ghetto work they'd do on bikes sigh. one guy got mad because i told him the tires on his r1 were smoked. he was like "no way, they're brand new! they only have 4k miles!" i was like uhhh for a dude your size on a liter bike 4k is pretty good...

When I worked retail my favorite was someone who bounced a check, which we would have to call them and the girl said "That's impossible that I bounced a check, I still have checks left my checkbook" LOLOLOL

    They walk among us...

    sigh idiots

we had a woman buy a can am, rode it home with the ebrake on the whole time, it threw a code and put it into limp mode. her husband calls up yelling at me, i told him i was sending a guy with a truck and needed her location. he continued to yell at me and used some racial slurs. my guy gets to her, and disengaged the ebrake, restarted, all set

Guy I used to work with bought an older Honda Shadow (back when they made a cheap 4-speed 600cc version) and decided that his chain was too loose (it wasn't; he had me check it). He tightened it himself and pulled into the parking lot the next morning with it tighter than a banjo string and so hot that you couldn't even touch it for about 30 minutes. It was making so much noise that I could hear it from across the parking lot, from inside the shop.

He lived 30 minutes from the shop, too. I couldn't believe that it hadn't popped the chain and ruined the bike.

it could be gas, i was just about to fill up but i think i had 1.5G left at least. I always drive it this low and it's never been an issue. They said they don't hear the fuel pump motor revving so they ate going to dump some gas in it before they move on to see if that helps.

I used to work for SiemensVDO when they had a plant in CT as a Manufacturing Engineer. One part we made was the fuel pump electrical regulators that sit in the tank and use the fuel for cooling. They get nice and hot when run low. No Bueno for the pump. When you perform the overvoltage test, they would get very, very, very hot...

I jokingly asked if they sell an after market fuel pump radiator.
