I've been wanting to do this exact mod! I thought the fabric on the door was odd and should have been done in the same black micro dot material.

I found this, this morning and am thinking of giving it a shot to try and match the existing door material.

    Any thought?

Anyone who has done this mod, do you know about how much fabric would be needed to do all 4 arm rests (pending I don't screw up and waste any)? I would like to do it with the Wet Okole neoprene material but they offered me only 2 sizes for the raw material: 2'x4' sheet for $40 and 4'x8' sheet for $80. I'd obviously like to be able to get away with the 2x4 sheet but I just wasn't sure if that would cut it. I know I can probably go measure them and estimate, but I'm at work and my truck is at home and I'd like to get it ordered this afternoon so they will hopefully include it with my recent seat cover purchase for shipping.

You can do it with the smaller sheet. I bought the bigger one and i didnt even use half of it. Just measure your armrest length and use that for the width to be safe, because of the curvature.

I would but I am using it now to line all the compartments in my truck so they do not rattle.

Thanks I ended up calling back and talking to someone else, and this time they told me it came in 51"x83" sheets and with the GB discount it was $52, so I just went ahead and got that size.

I didn't know they also offer a 20% discount for service members and veterans. Just an overall awesome company.

Honestly neoprene has become my redneck ducktape. It is soft and padded with good color and decent adhering capabilities.

Plus I cant stand plastic rattling.

I'm going to do mine this weekend. I hope the 3M can withstand the Arizona heat. If I can't I'll just tear it apart and let a shop do it. It can get well over 100+ in the summer and that with windows cracked.

That is the correct way to do the door panel install. It is a pain it the @ss but it comes out much better than tucking it in from the front.

I've been wanting to do this since I got my truck back in 05. I went to a shop and the guy wanted to charge me $150....... per door. What a joke. So one of these days I'm going to do.

Sigh...you guys talked me in to another mod! :D

I just ordered the supplies I needed for $25. Some nice Codorba Black Vinyl, contact cement, and SS screws. Not a bad price for a mod like this.

I will post pics when completed. I'm re-doing the entire audio system as well.
