Though not in our lifetime i think. Alternate fuel type's infrastructure is a LONG ways from taking over gas. Though some places are already starting. I know Kansas City, MO is almost done putting in 1000 electric charging stations. Free to use the next 3 years.

 

eh..polar ice caps are..going. Fast. Think i heard on NPR that there is 5500 miles of ice less this year. A new all time low.

Yea but my truck is comfortable, quiet, nice and for the most part, very reliable.

That thing, even after you poured twice what you paid for it...wouldn't be any of that.

That's a full resto project. Not a small simple project. Kirsten was wise there..

 

The difference is Toyotas are reliable

Just kidding, I know some people have good luck with Heeps. I'd never get one but out of the box it's kinda hard to beat for an offroader.

The few run-ins I've had with shitbox Jeeps in our neck of the woods has been enough to steer me clear of ever wanting one.

 

Ditto. Pretty much agree with all of that.

But that jeep was old...old and jeep...never go well together no matter what haha

 

Let her get whatever she wants. Just buy something that won't lose tons of value in a year or two and you guys can sell it and move on to the next project. I love toyotas but there are so many cool trucks to work on. I would love to have a scout, early bronco, or Willys jeep to play with. It's just fun to drive/work on new things. Lizzy really wants a Sammy. Not the best for wheeling but it's good enough to wrench on and hit simple back roads.

 

I just realized i have spent more on repairs/upgraded than what i paid for my taco.... im in too deep to get out. Time to keep digging... rear suspension, glass corners, rear bumper, sleeve/stroke/cam, etc....
