    That's cool that your boss is pretty chill, and a good work ethic on your part. When I was a supervisor, one of my officers had to take a day off for a family member's funeral.....my manager told me to make sure I got a copy of the funeral program from the officer or else it would have been a "No Call No Show" even though he called the day before.
