Hmm... I might try that. The string fits thru the outer holes, but not thru the tunnel of the inner piece that you wind the string around.

So just a curious question, I am looking for a TRD CAI for my SC 2015. Apparently TRD does not have one for my truck, according to three dealerships. So, could a CAI from 05 to 09 work? Or should I just say screw it and go after market? I am already planning on getting the TRD exhaust. Just, for the fact that I know the performance level of the SC works great with the full TRD setup.

I'm not a fan of the TRD intake since it uses oil for the filter which will cause the MAF sensor to good bad down the road. AFE makes a quality CAI. I still believe the Airflow Snorkel is a better setup

I just wanted the thickest string so it didn't break as much. I have a lot of land to weedeat and there's some thick brush and both wood and chain link fences. Chain link tears it up fast. Plus this is the first time I had to buy string for this weedeater since I bought it like 2 years ago, because I can't find the string the came with it in my post-move garage

No pun intended here but the thickest isn't always the best. It's how you use the weedwacker. Slow the rpms down and avoid rocks. Also white vinegar makes a excellent choice for the weeds between the chain link fence

Once we build the tool shed out back, the garage will be less cluttered and maybe I can find stuff and better organize
