Story of the most wanted hacker in the world, and the extent of his criminal enterprise.

Good read, worth the half hour or so.

We're fighting Mirai right now. There's serious fear of it infecting medical equipment.

We've also been getting phished VERY hard. Ransomware infections are instantly reimaged. No playing around. Get infected, say bye-bye to your profile and desktop.

Just fought one in 2015. We got it good! Luckily had backups on backups of servers, found the source PC, smashed the harddrive and started fresh. Not been back since. It was one of the R&D guys, go figure lol

It's getting extremely sneaky. They bombard infected spreadsheets at our contracting officers, who deal in invoices daily. They have declared that invoices can only be PDFs now. Cut way back on infections. I also teach phishing awareness monthly.

We have a large VM server enterprise already. Going to a lot of Citrix virtual desktops. Infection? Log off...and the instance is instantly gone. We also have multi-layer malware filters at the gateways, email enclave, and desktop. Layered IDS/IPS/HIPS, and packet sniffers at three different OSI layers.

I only get involved when the traffic isn't dropped, which is about two or three times a month. We scrutinize hard for false positives too, because they waste sooooo much of my time.

I just saw a thing on TV where they claim attention to work is at a low point for the year when the NCAA basketball tournament is going on.

Obviously they don't look at attention levels due to TW when they compiled their statistics.

    Just sayin'.....

The two to the right are the newest. The first skate (not long) board was my first, a Darkstar I got from a kid at school in 7th grade after his mom ran it over for the third time. It's split, but I haven't killed it yet, and I used to go crazy on it.
    Shocking, Fenwick DOESN'T break something!
