I have that one as well, its a great dry cover, once the weatherstripping smooths out you can close tailgate without lifting the cover, took me a while to figure that out.

Not what I wanted to do today but someone decided to open their door on mine. Nice 6 inch straight line just under the drivers door handle. Now I do like to keep my vehicles looking great. I'm not one who takes 2 or 3 parking spaces but I do always park way away from everyone. Of course someone always ends up next to me. Today there was no car there so they must have already left. Luckily, no creases in the metal but just surface scratches. I realize to many this is trivial and have had hit and run or worse but it still sucks. Was able to remove them with just a lot of hand buffing. I don't understand some people.
THEY JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!! about someone else's property or vehicle :frusty::rant::annoyed::censored:

    That sucks, man. Sorry.

I have found that my steps are useful as more than just steps. I make a point that I park next to cars so their doors open against the step. Trucks are a different story.

Good idea. I'm pretty sure it was a truck...

    Retired/Hobbyist old as f***
I had a 3 day old brand new mid 90's burgandy F150 once and I watched a little 85 year old lady coming up behind me in the other lane on the driver side. Had my hand outside the window watching my side view mirror. I saw how close she was and pulled my hand inside. Her plastic passenger mirror scored my truck from the taillight to the headlight, just below the door handle, and she kept going. I freaked and chased her down. I had to show her the red paint on her mirror and the scratch down the side of my truck for her to believe me. Her insurance would only pay to polish it and demanded she pay the difference if I wanted it repainted. I was concerned the paint would aways look different than the rest of the truck. I polished that scratch weekly for 6 months and sold it. Sorry about your luck. People just don't care. I have been handicapped since 2010 so I am extremely fortunate to usually find wide parking spots. But that does not guarantee not getting dinged. I do think my 5" nerf bars are a good ding deterrent. I say get it fixed with your insurance provided you don't have any recent claims. If not you will chase that scratch forever. Sorry it happened to you.

I can understand an 85 year old who probably had no idea what she did driving by but glad you showed her. I was able to buff mine out so I was lucky. It's the people who know they did it but just don't care. I also have the 5" bars so it had to be a truck.

It has come to a point where everyone needs a nanny cam in their vehicle.

Happened to me too a few weeks back. I had to go paintless dent repair because it left a huge dent in my driver door. People just don't care and don't pay attention!!

If it was dented or had to be painted I would.
