What color do you think will go best with my impulse red taco? I'll tally up the votes tonight and attempt the project tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm going with a black rim when I have the money. Not sure if that makes a difference to anyone.

I also have the Impulse Red and I planned on tackling this project this weekend. Not sure how it's going to turn out but I'm going to try to pull off color matched calipers.

If that fails horribly then I'll just repaint them black since I'm doing the drums anyway.

Keep me posted on the drums because I wasn't sure if I should try them. If it goes well I will attempt it as well.

I think the red would look really nice with a black rim

I would do it red to color match the truck. The black looks nice but its not really noticeable. And since you are getting black wheels, the red will accent them more instead of all black.;)

I did mine black because they are stock calipers. Didn't go with RED since there was nothing that stood out on the stock calipers; however, if you have black wheels, go with Red for the contrast.

I'm thinking about doing mine red if I can get a red that will match the body color. I don't think the black stands out.

Red calipers are for Brembos or 17 year old high school seniors that work at McDonald's and are struggling at attaining a C average but spend all their free time doping out the Civic.

Yes it's a truck. A truck that I'm paying $20,000+ for. Not some 30 year old pickup that has a "For Sale - $800 o.b.o." sign hanging in the window while it's parked out in a Walmart parking lot. I'd like to avoid the crusty and rusty as much as possible.

    Exactly.

i don't see the need for paint.

I've always been of the mindset that any mod that doesn't increase performance isn't worth doing.

IMO, unless you install a super-bad brake system, it's dumb to paint them any color other than black. Painting them red (or any other color) would be calling attention to a stock part, which seems silly to me.

    Black, FTW.
