Yeah, but it's a creature onto itself once left by the asshole... Left to seek and aimlessly destroy without remorse or guilt.

I like the thinking behind that good effective idea.

I've been trying for years to figure out to mount a 20mm Vulcan cannon behind the star on the front of my SL, with a control button atop the shift knob--so far it seems as though the motor will have to come out :(

I think it would be pretty cool, just flip that star down and plow the road...

I had expected this fine group to offer help--not point out things I had not thought of yet.

But you are correct, this is the sort of project that if you are going to do you may as well do right...

Make it a mid-engine car. Plenty of room up front for cannon. Mount ammo storage where passenger seat would go. Shazam!

Not wild about lifting it, seems like that would destroy the over all nature of the beast, but the mid-engine suggestion has some merit--as a "luxury touring roadster" (Mercedes words, it handles like crap--4450 lbs wallowing all over the road) it has a ton of space behind the seats. The passenger seat could probably remain...

See, the mid engine would give you better weight distribution with the 6 barrels of fuck yeah hanging out the front. Secondary thought, why are we talking about Mercs?

That's the raw stock I have to work with--it's either that, the wife's '03 Highlander, or the '06 Silver Wing. I have thought about using SW as a base for this mod but I just cannot see it working:

At my age I find it odd that so many younger people speak of Mercedes as "Mercs"--to me a "Merc" is a Mercury.

    ----------------------------------------------------
I "googled" it: Would appear Ford stopped making Mercurys in 2010--guess I should watch the news more often...

I use it for both, usually I'm not talking about a Cyclone and an AMG GT-R in the same conversation.

Also, I think the scoot would make a great base for the gun. Accept, I'm pretty positive the recoil from the cannon would blast you backwards without the weight of the car.
    The M61A1 weighs 250 lbs, 6000 rpm, M61A2 202 lbs with 6600 rpm.

Co-worker parks like this every Saturday. I almost wish someone would park behind him so he can't pull out afterwork.

And risk my pretty mall crawler getting a dent, no thanks! :) Going to Starbucks to grab a iced caramel machiatto on a hot summer day would never be the same again with her all banged up. Lol

You also need to account for the recoil force slowing the car or even pushing it backwards...
