We all love our 1st Gen. But there is always something that we can't stand, but we just live with because we love our trucks so much.
The only thing that really pisses me off about my 1st Gen is the location for the transfer case shifter for the 4wd in my Auto DC truck. I'm kinda a big guy, so my right knee wants to rest aganist the shifter. There is some vibration that is transmitted through it and it drives me crazy. The only solution i've found, is to lay a pillow against the console to keep my leg off of the dhifter. Been doing this for 70,000 miles....because I love my 1st gen so much!!!!!:D

The seat design they are uncomfortable and they scrunch up when you get out.

I hate the little plastic covers on the side of the seats that get busted all the time. I hate that so much. You would think they could of designed it a little better so that wouldn't of happen.

Clock position and the fact that mine isnt TRD. Also the oil filter location. also the carpet floors (this is my first truck that didnt have vinyl floors which are far superior).

X2, Yep as much as I love my truck Toyota has always been plagued with little cheesy plastic covers & ornaments here & there & where is my fucking cup holder but I guess these are small prices to pay for having a superior truck otherwise.....

& I'm probably gonna get some shit over this but its also great that 1st gens. aren't riddled with all the annoyances & issues with 2nd generation trucks...

I have a 2nd gen now, but my first vehicle was a 98 toyota.. I hated, and I mean HATED the e-brake.. I had to have it fixed for the cable braking 3 or 4 times, it would always freeze on, I never trusted using it putting our boat in, and driving manual I used it more...

the clock is silly, but doesn't bother me.
I thought about this a lot, and I think I'm just overall very happy with it.
I want some new tires this summer though...
oh I want new coils for the front to add to my 5100's to get the front up a bit more.

The Clock is in the worst spot ever, I have to lean over to see it.

The door panels kind of vibrate and rattle significantly.

    The seat-belt doesnt retract

    No sun roof :(

Honeslty, mechanicly I love the 3.4 v6. I love the 4wd(never had anything wrong) And I love the truck period haha.
