Totally underwhelmed with Hard8. I'll take most Rudy's over it any day of the week (the one up here in Allen is usually fairly consistent, the moist Brisket is the best bet).

FYI - taking the truck a roaming around Texas this weekend, so I might be spotted in Houston and/or Austin by the time we find another Monday roll around. Just sayin.

I spotted a turd gen on I-30 between Dallas and Oh Skeet Skeet going west bound in the left lane, had a plate bumper with pods and looked pretty good... which is rare for me to admit to one of those 3rd gens

I was in the left lane going east bound. As fast as I could to get the hell away from Dallas. I swear each time I go back to DFW the drivers get worse. What kind of transplants are y'all attracting these days?

Hello Texas folks. New owner here (as of a couple of weeks ago).

All this BBQ talk has me jazzed up. Heim is pretty good. I thought the beef rib at Pecan Lodge was pretty solid. Haven't found much else that really gets me going, but I may be a little hard to please ;).

We're super small time right now (like, backyard, private catering, and a few pro competition events), but come 2018....watch out!

I knew someone would mention heims eventually. That's hipster crap BBQ. The brisket we had was a dried out turd. No smoke ring. Burnt bacon ends weren't bad, but certainly not worthy of a trip by themselves. I'll dump my girlfriend if she asks to go there again.

The bacon burnt ends are awesome. I thought the fatty brisket was pretty good. Smoke ring is nothing but an appearance piece, so no biggie there. I wasn't impressed with the pork products, but it isn't worth overreacting about. I wouldn't wait in a long line, but wouldn't mind going back for an early lunch, either.

Looks like a spaceship with those tubes. FJs can look really nice when done right... problem is you just can't see out of the cabin!

True that. The blindspots in those things are awful. I like them...I just couldn't drive one.

I kind of wish that they would have offered an FJ with full size rear doors.....look at how the popularity of the Jeep Wrangler has exploded since the addition of the 4-door.
