Ya not cool. I mean, the dude did also lose his teeth the other night too, so it's not like he doesn't take his fair share of shots. But either way, I'm not a fan of those types of plays so I'm not defending him on those actions.

Don't know if you've ever played hockey, but in order to shatter someones finger you aren't giving them a love tap. It was a brutal two handed slash that was going to cause damage anywhere it hit except if there was hard plastic in the way.

lol what, you destroy someones finger it has to be a massive hack. Since when is hacking a "hockey play", sure it happens, but its still wrong and has to be punished

Ya, Sid is my boy but I call it how I see it. I get it that stick checks are a big part of hockey and Sid is great at getting a piece of someone to disrupt their pass/shot etc. But that was a pretty hard 2-hander into the hands, so he got a little carried away there. As far as the nut shot, I know he takes his fair share of abuse, like I said before, but there are better ways of giving it back in return.

As far as McDavid / Oilers, calm down there, boss. McDavid might have the points lead (in less games, I might add) but he is far from the complete player that Sid is. He may get there, he may not. But as of right now, he has a little ways to go before he can be the best player in the game. I would even go as far to say that Matthews is a more complete player than McDavid. But Conner would still be my MVP vote for this year, so not taking anything away from him. No Cup this year either, but they are certainly on track.

The problem I have with both the nut shot and the two handed slash is that neither play drew a penalty. If they had I would still think they are dirty but oh well he got penalized for the infraction. My problem is with the perception that the officials are letting him get away with cheap shots. He should be officiated just the same as everyone else. McDavid is great, Crosby is and has been great, Mathews is great, and oh yeah dont forget about Eichel. His production since returning from the high ankle sprain is right there with the best. I think since the start of February only Patrick Kane has more points than Eichel.

Oh I agree with you on that 100%. No question there.

Eichel and Kane are 2 of my favorites, for sure. Both have looked spectacular on the back half of this season, as you said.

You know the hierarchy anyway. Carry on. Still calling an Oilers cup win. And if McJesus shot more he'd have way more points.

    Creative.

Again, point total and best player in the league don't equal the same thing. McDavid has a little ways to go before the torch is passed. As for you calling the Cup, if you mean this year, then it is a bit of a stretch. More power to you if it happens, but don't get your hopes up.
