Yea i love the sound and the pop/burbles/backfires. Doesn't help with driving slow...but neither does a manual anyways..ha

I'll never forget leaving coeur d'alene with him on the interstate in front of me and we hit that big long hill. And he starts to slow and i tell him to just down shift already on the CB...and i didn't have too. Accelerated up the hill.

Thinking I'll just go ahead and order the same one you have, and find someone who can bend me up a tailpipe that makes it all the way to the back. I threw tailpipe piece away like 4 years ago.



Speaking of which, as of tomorrow, I'll have owned my truck for 5 years. Went from a perfectly operable stock truck to sitting on jackstands in my garage for the last month.

 

In another 2 years it'll be like Frank! Jackstands/shop 75% of the time!

 

My truck is on jackstands now so it won't be when I want to use it.

Idk why you go 80 anyways. even on 30s Igor didn't love 80mph. Mileage takes a big hit too. Not worth it.

Frank will do 80..but i would be deaf after 12 hours at 4000 rpms

 

I have a DD. Hence why I've been able to leave my truck on jackstands for a month, and probably another month too while I wait for my Kings.

 

80? Lol Idk when's the last time my Tacoma has seen that. I'd probably get tired of hearing the tires after awhile. I'll stick to driving the F150 on road trips lol

 

Ive found the instant you go over 75mph the mileage dies.

I got 19mpg coming back from Utah with a LOADED up bed full of gear on 33s with stock gears.

Stock bumper helps out a lot.

 

Interesting, I just put on the same muffler and it is almost too loud. That's with trd headers, 2.5" pipe, and dumped before the axle though - might have something to do with it.

 

dumping it before the axle makes it very loud in the cab. If you re piped it to exit out back you'll be much happier.

 

Just curious, do you think it's the weight or the aerodynamics that make the stock bumper better on the highway for fuel economy?

70 vs 80 sure. but 75 vs 80...idk about that.

can only do 80 on parts of the interstate anyways.

 

not today, but in the last couple of weeks my tacoma got a 5 speed swap, dual cases with 4.7 gears in the front case and the inchworm clockable case kit with radesigns triple stick setup, as well as supercharged. got the parts for the 7th injector waiting to go in. just needing a front locker and 37s and ill be done with the money pit for a little bit
