The only TRD Boost Gauge I can find is for the 1st gen Tacomas. While I'm sure the gauge would function properly on my 2010 Tacoma, there is no sense in paying $125 for the gauge that comes with a pod that won't fit my truck. Anyone have any advice? I really want to gauge my boost levels before/after future mods as well as being able to monitor when I'm "in" boost for fuel economy. I do have a Scangauge so if anyone knows how I could use it to monitor boost levels I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the input but i don't need (or want) a boost gauge that measures all the way to 25 psi (or higher) when my SC willnever even reach 10 psi-hence the reason for my interest in the TRD Gauge. Also, I understand how the gauges work (elec and mech) and certainly have the ability to hook any gauge up. I guess my questions may be unclear.

Can anyone confirm that the TRD Boost Gauge for the 1st gen will work correctly on the 2nd gen? Can a guage pod be mounted on the 2010 A-pillar considering the PIA airbags?

another option is this. It only goes up to 15 psi, but does not measure vaccumm and can be had for abou 35 bucks from summit

The boost gauge from the 01 will work just fine in yours truck, the pod that comes with it will not.

I thought the side curtain airbags from the newer trucks were in the seats?

if so, you should be able to put the lotek pod up there

or, here is another option that wont mess with the pillars

    good luck

They are machined aluminum and powder coated, the price isnt that bad considering

but the design is pretty damn sweet

you should be able to T in under your stock oil pressure sensor ( just the left of the filter)

I use an oil filter adaptor plate. It has four ports, you can run two gauges and an oil cooler with it. Prosport sells them for $38.99

Thanks for your input. That helps alot!

Also, it does look like the 2010's are SRS equipped and the bag extends into the A pillar and goes down to the bolted on handle. I don't see the gauges becoming projectiles because the handle would have been first. The handle is bolted in with (2) 10mm bolts. HOWEVER, you'd better bolt those gauges securely into the pod with a metal bracket. Because expanding gases could launch the gauges. This is my opinion after removing the A piller on my 2010.

Has ANYONE mounted the Gauge A Piller in there 2010?

I have just recently installed mine on my 2010. I did notice the air bag, but figured if it was to go off it should go downward and not effect the gauges since they are on the other end of the handle.
