I haven't used the one in the Honda in about, oh, 15 years. Stay within 5 of the speed limit and you're fine.

There is ZERO defense against laser. <click> speed read. They should just include automatic ticket printers with radar detectors.

There is also no defense against KA/KU/whatever else is current if you're doing 90mph and get hit with oncoming radar. Trust me.

Haven't had one since college, tossed it around 2006. Found out that it didn't matter since my car's spedometer was probably lying.

These days I'm usually trying to find a way that doesn't involve the main route to somewhere. My standard route from Hillsboro to Salem takes longer than going I5, but it only adds 8-15 minutes and I get the benefit of seeing countryside and corners.

Whee. You beat me with just enough time to open the garage door for me and hand me a cold one. Did you really "win"? :proposetoast: You need to speed up so you'll have my sandwich ready, too :D
After sitting through some math courses, getting bored and doing some problem solving to see how fast you have to go vs how much faster you really get there, it totally sobered me on needing to drive fast.
The two exceptions I'd make is
    • HWY 97 from Chiloqin to LaPine: 80 miles of straight flat nothing at 55mph with a lot of 2 lane travel stuck behind a semi. Plow down some tumbleweeds to get some lanes in there and let people rip at 75mph
    • I-5 from Corvallis to Eugene: longest stretch of road in Oregon. I swear it's a vortex.

    Exactly.

i totally get it in those situations, but im mainly interested in it for longer drives on the freeways and roadtrips.

Day-trip notice for this Saturday April 1. We plan to head towards the Mosquito Lake/North Fork area off Hwy 9, just south of 542 towards Baker. We'll probably shoot some guns, and explore around those roads a little bit. I wanna test out the new TrueTrac which is going in tomorrow hopeully.

    Meet up location:

Was going to drive out to Christmas Valley and do some survey work to figure out where I will be putting the loop driveway and rv pads. However, apparently a rock the size of a small(ish) house decided it wanted to occupy highway 138.

Nice looking truck. I drive by a lot of modded tacos - bumper, slider, etc. But don't know if they're part of this forum.

Ive got a 2010 TRD e-locker rear axle for sale. Its complete hub to hub with breaks and drums. It currently has 4:88's for gearing. I have just over 40,000 miles on it. Was looking at 950.00 OBO

Also I have the stock two piece rear driveline with carrier for 150.00. Its off the same truck (short box double cab)

PM me for details, located in Walla Walla WA

so... anyone here have insight on trailer axles that have a 6x5.5 hub?

I want to either swap my hubs on my little trailer to 6x5.5 or find a cheap ass axle that i can cut down to the width I need. Sadly, i havent found any hubs that are 6x5.5 that will fit my trailer axle, since the diameter is smaller then the inside of the 6x5.5 hub. I cant seem to find a 6x5.5 complete axle within reason which is killing me. I just wanna be able to mount my old wheel/tire combo and add a bit of height to the trailer. I want to avoid those wheel adapters that will get me to 6x5.5, as i dont trust them to not fail on me when hauling my bike/gear.
