Room with a View - Victor Nguyen

Enjoying our first break in the weather. Day 3, Mile 321, North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Over the course of 8 days, we logged over 500 miles of trails through downed trees, ice, and mud, went from the highest point of the North Rim to the lowest, and braved a hellish rainstorm and sub-freezing temperatures, all for a front row seat to the world's greatest view.

Had a "oh shit" moment on my way to work. Was driving on the road out of my place and hit a small bump and hear a loud clang and stuff slamming against my wheel well and undercarriage. All I could think is my 5100's just broke as I'm 50 feet away from the 1 lane portion of the road due to a slide. Look back in the rearview and see some black things bouncing around and my steering is a bit off. End up turning around and notice bushings laying there, a 2" threaded nub and realized my other sway bar link snapped. What a relief and glad it snapped now and not when I was driving 4 hour yesterday back from the snow.

Depending on how old he is, that could be 80% water by now.

Thank god it's raining today or I would've had to work. Jet lag sucks!
