Better grab that manual before it's gone. I had several bought out from under me when my local dealer had to go look and trade one of his inventory for the one I got. Black TRD sport. Manual shift. Double cab. It's a real eye catcher but he'll to keep clean. But I manage. Get lots of compliments on it. Best of luck.

I liked the dark grey too. Not hot looking like my black TRD sport but really classy. The silver is ok. Never looks dirty. Dannyblues

Thanks bro. I just went online and that shifter is listed as may or may not fit the 2016 v6. Still don't you find the clutch travel long and slow? Dannyblues

Nope, Stage 3 clutch. Actual engagement translates to about 1/2" of pedal movement.

That price sounds too high. Mine was $32,000 plus after options: weather tech mats and mud flaps, dark grey/ black side running board steps, wheel locks and included the tow package and upgraded etune multimedia system. I then added an OEM cargo deck mat and truxsport aluminum supported roll up cargo cover. And still I wasn't at $36,000. Not including taxes, dealer prep etc. Dannyblues

The only reason I didn't go with the URD set up was because all it is is a spacer attached to your shifter. While I haven't read about many failures, it seems like one extra failure/weak point that I didn't want. The Hurst Core shifter is one entirely new shifter unit. So while it's a failure point as well, it seemed like much less of a risk than adding a spacer to your existing shifter.

Got the supercharger on at about 300 miles, blew through the OEM clutch by 6k miles. Thought I just sucked ass at shifting for a while, but then I started reading about more and more guys blowing through OEM Clutches, turns out it just can't handle the boost power. So I got a lightweight flywheel, URD throw out bearing upgrade, and a Stage 3 URD Clutch from URDUSA.com . Clutch engages every time, slipping means my calf muscles get a work out. Flywheel definitely increases acceleration. I love it. I eat 3rd Gens for breakfast :D

My dealer had to pick up my 2016 TRD sport at another dealer. It had 14 miles on it new but 110 when I actually bought it since the salesman had to drive it from a New Haven Ct dealer to mine in Danbury Ct. I've had that happen before when I wanted a particular car that wasn't available locally. Dannyblues

very cool, one day i'll be running with you.

interestingly, my clutch slips consistently and predictably in my 3rd gen at low speed and low rpm (all the 3rd gen motor whiners would argue with me to the death, but i'm the one driving so i'm the one who knows the truth). stock motor, stock software, and TRD intake, but the clutch was slipping before i installed the intake. but it was not slipping before i installed the Pedal Commander. one of the reasons i'm calling that the mightiest bandaid fix we 3rd gen MT operators have. of course i'm holding out for a proper (non-bandaid) fix in the future. same or similar to your setup. next stop for me is some shift improvement. it's not bad, but i wouldn't mind a slightly tighter engagement.

I'd suggest a Stage 2 clutch to anyone wanting to get more HP in their truck. NO The clutch does not increase HP, but the OEM clutches are crap for more power, so instead of having to do it after your clutch starts slipping, I'd do it before you start adding power so its not an afterthought

Wish you worked at Toyota corporate. Everyone feels the same. More manuals even in the big full sized trucks. Diesels ( not for me ) maybe V8 in the midsized trucks like tacomas and Colorados and better gas mileage on the 3.5 v6 Tacoma plus a shorter throw stick and clutch from the factory.

As far as colors I love my black TRD sport. But I'd like them to add fire engine red and a dark green metallic. I've always liked a dark dark green metallic truck with matching dark green tint glass. To me that's country. Just my opinion. Oh. Who doesn't like a lil red truck? Dannyblues

On you tube there's a guy with a whole list of videos of his 2nd gen builds. Supercharger with smaller URD pulley. Check that part out. With all the work he kept his warranty. Has video of 80 foot burnout by both rear wheels in his 4.0 modified. Great videos. Dannyblues

On the you tube 2nd gen great build videos the guy didn't like dealing with URD people. Any problems with them? Check those videos. You'll love them. The guys name was TACO something

Forgive me for repeating but you should check out all the build/ modify this guy TACO something out on you tube videos of his 2nd gen Tacoma.

Real cold air intake. Tuned exhaust headers. Cat back exhaust mod. Larger injectors. Supercharger by Paxton I think that were discontinued in 2015 with only ten year parts support. URD supercharger smaller pulley he claims added 40 hp. Small lift . I think one inch in rear and three in front ? Black color. Decals removed. Custom grill I think. It's really worth a look

He claims his 4.0 is pushing 440 hp or so but won't dyno it. Has video of 80 ft two wheel burnout. It's loud but that whine of the supercharger and loud exhaust even from a six cylinder ( I particularly don't like the sound of a loud six but love the 8 cylinder noise ). But his build sounded great. Especially that supercharger whine. Dannyblues

Sorry this post has errors and repeats etc. Just check out all the you tube videos this TACO guy put out

Is that "the Legend" or somesuch? His 400hp supercharged Tacoma? What a joke. Burnouts were fun right when I first got it, but I prefer actual power and acelleration. Shit you can do a burnout on a 2nd gen when its stock with crap tires on it

Yeah that guy's a joke. I have way more mods and power down than him and I'm probably at about 300 to the wheels right now. Waiting on a tuner and need to install a couple more things and I'll be around 350rwhp. Now if he claimed 400hp with the URD Supercharger I'd believe it. And URD And Magnuson/TRD were the only SC makers since day 1.
