This was the Friends of the NRA dinner at the Aqua-Turf in Southington, CT. It's a hall were they do parties, weddings, etc... They are known for the Prime-Rib...

Nice. Honestly those tires are probably more than suitable for 85% + of the people on TW, myself included, for the amount of pavement vs wheeling most do. If they looked cooler there's a good chance of have got them instead of the bfgs. But they don't and I'm vain so....

 

I have the Michelin Defender LTX M/S (newest generation) I had them installed at BJ's with tire protection for just under $800 out the door. I drive on them at least 75 miles a day. They are quiet and comfortable. I run them at 36psi for mileage. I have had them for about 10K now. I rotate every 5K for free (BJ's will rotate and rebalance them for life). I also got a lifetime alignment at sullivan tire for $159 with a discount code a while back so when I do my rotation at BJ's i take it over to sullivan for oil and alignment...works out great.
The tires were excellent in the recent snow storms. I drove 495 no problem in that crap.

 

Made 5 lbs of dead pig yesterday + 2 homemade sauces (mustard + vinegar and paleo traditional style BBQ). Should be good for a few days eating

 

And right now I'm cooking some ground beef in the pan/ drippings of the pulled pork #fatkid

 

I had the old style on my 1st gen when I bought it (ms2's). I agree they were great in the snow and rain, and awesome for commuting.

With the amount I drive I should really be running those or something similar but again they just don't look cool so it's impractical tires for me

I saw Ted once just because I enjoy his music, doubt I ever will again. If I see Henry Rollins talkin I know at some point it may come up but he is the type to say just educate yourselves and vote on what you want

 

That I can handle, I agree if folks educated themselves and not just one side of the issue, but both, then go vote.
