Hoping someone can help me chase a noise, maybe suggest where to start.

Got a high pitched (not high/loud as a belt) whine when I hit the gas. Even when I'm in neutral not moving. Almost sounds like a bearing? Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.

Also, put these hood struts on today from the Redline Tuning GB:

    Reserected from the dead.

Remove alternator belt and see if the noise remains. Do the same with power steering pump belt. Cost nothing but time and eliminates things it can be.

A long screwdriver and your ear can also help locate the general area the noise stems from.

Belts have a pretty easy to distinguish whine, this just doesn't sound like a belt. In neutral with no gas, no whine. Hit pedal it starts. When the accelerator is released it stops. The higher the rpm, the higher/louder the whine.

I'll definitely start there though as it's easy and cheap. Thanks!

Debadge disaster stuck on the passenger side. Clear coat came off with the badge.

    Abort! Abort! :p

Probably the end of my debadge extravaganza.

Wish you were right. Hard to see from the pic, but that side is beyond being fixed with any amount of muscle.

    A few.
Got me some fancy new wheels and tires! (It's about damned time, the wheels were a Christmas present to myself) IMG_0335.jpgIn all fairness I made some minor miscalculations when I got wheels and tires in December. I purchased some American Racing wheels with the wrong size center bore, and had to put the new BFG AT's on my old wheels. Thankfully the shop took the wheels back, but my truck fund could only support one set of tires at that time. On the bright side I now have snow shoes and trail shoes.
