I haven't gotten a flyer lately. Actually, I haven't gotten any mail lately. I keep checking every day hoping for a private party invitation from Scarlett Johansson. I keep getting disappointed.

 

Sold the trailer. Profited $375. Not too, bad for 6 hours of work.

 

Anyone here ever use the hydraulic pipe benders? Thoughts?

 

Just Picked up a Four Drawer Rolling Tool Caddy with the $99.00 Coupon. Perfect for My Needs. Still need to assemble it.

 

I'm a pretty good fabricator. I couldn't make decent bends without major kinking. I tried on several occasions, honestly i did.

It now lives in my scrap pile awaiting the next trip to metal recycler. I won't miss it.

 

Where you bending pipe or tube? They are measured differently.

 

Tubing.

 

The pipe bender is for pipe. Pipe does not belong on a truck.

 

It bends pipe. It requires different die sizes to bend tube without kinks

 

I dont know about their newer stuff but my father in law gave me this chicago grinder a long time ago and i never used it until a few weeks ago, it works solidly all day, grinding rust and paint off of my rock sliders.

I can attest to the quality of this item for sure.

 

Anyone own the compound miter saw? Should I just pony up for a rigid instead?

 

I own the 12 in one. No complaints. It's no pro equipment though.

 

The lock on the one I had broke and jammed the first time I tried to change a disc. I will say that it was properly demolished by a HF mallet. The mallet performed very well as both a demolition tool and a stress reliever.

 

I just bought this 50ft retractable air hose from HF: If you get it, make sure you pick up something like this short air hose ( ) for connecting to your air compressor - the retractable hose doesn't include one.

Other than that, the hose looks nice.

Trust me, You don't want to go with a Poly hose like that CH one on Amazon. They are stiff and don't flex as easy.. Rubber is the way to go.. I have the harbor freight one in my shop and love it. When the hose wears out I plan on swapping the hose out for a good quality rubber hose.

 

Saw some ads for EDC knives and was thinking of picking up a few for my kids Boy Scouts troop. Anyone know if HF knives hold an edge?

 

Actually, they are about average, which is fine. Because of that fact, they sharpen very quickly. In pretty rough on my daily carry knives, so i want something i can quickly sharpen up.

I have Gerber knife that has some stupid, hard metal in it. It takes me forever to sharpen it.
