KIMG0570.jpg KIMG0569.jpg KIMG0568.jpg KIMG0569.jpg Just a fraction of what I have... Didn't want to uncover (underneath the monster car and Harvick figure) a signed almirola, one of the highest $$$ (at least on eBay) of KB's combos scheme, and a signed metallic Harvick... I also have 2 signed shirts of Austin Dillon. (The binder is 60% NASCAR cards, many signed by drivers or crew members)

Nice man. You will find as you get older the value becomes the memories all the little Nick nacks you have collected remind you of. I am 37 and it's just cool to set among 30 years of things that remind me of when and where I got them and the people I was with.

Yeah, when I get my own place im planning to put it all up. Do cardboard standees do better in the box or does leaving them out damage them over time?

I expect they would get some wear over time but you could always hang them.

I have the Kyle Busch one, and I mainly got it for a "drivers meeting" party at Talladega campgrounds, but I'd like it up at home one day... Fun fact at your local Napa they may give you the Chase Elliot one for free... Just ask (gave it to my dad). Same with hunts brother and Kevin Harvick standees... (My dad got it from a gas station free)

Nice! I have a buddy that owns a local gas station. He can't sell any of the promotional stuff but he gives me items for a donation to charities they support. With the thousands I have spent on Carlyle tools my Napa gives me about anything I want.

Lol, true. Did you see how empty the xfinity race was today? It seemed like they were trying not to show the stands. I bet it was less than 5k people there.

My childhood bedroom was a shrine. One wall was pullout posters from some NASCAR magazine I'd buy at the corner gas station. I don't remember them all, but I recall Dale Jarrett (#18), Bill Elliott (#11), Harry Gant (#33). I had one of those backlit 3D #2 Miller Rusty Wallace pontiacs too. I had a Goodyear Eagle radial I got from the Melling shop in Dawsonville after writing Bill a letter when I was a kid. I had two of those 48-car Hot Wheels carriers loaded down with 1:64 cars, tow trucks, fire & ambulance crew, helicopter & even a Goodyear blimp. I built a mini Bristol out of old slot-car track and wedge blocks to bank the track. I unpacked it for my kiddo two years ago. It was promptly destroyed.

My office/music room/ spare room only has three 1:24 cars on display. (The 22 is my kiddos).

The ceiling is covered in NASCAR flags from the early '90s. #2 Rusty Wallace, #3 Earnhardt, #9 Elliott, #11 Elliott, #42 Petty, and Winston Cup. I'd like to add a Wood Brothers flag but I haven't found the right one. I have a bunch of posters from the '80s- mostly Bill Elliott Coors, some Darrell Waltrip and Earnhardt stuff, and several The Winston promo posters that are such odd shapes and sizes that I'll never pay to have them framed.

I have 200+ 1/64 and 1/24 cars all boxed up in the barn with various collectibles. I have a bunch of sealed model kits from the '80s and '90s. Lots of photographs, collectors cards, '80s calendars, hero cards, autographs, hats, decals, race programs, vintage shirts & jackets from the early '80s- early '90s. I've only bought two modern NASCAR shirts in the last twenty years, and they were both Wood Brothers shirts.

Here are some of the Bill Elliott shirts:

All of this stuff is packed up these days. Here are some Bill Elliott Action cars, my first 1/24 Racing Champions and Revell cars, and more various cars I used to display before kids:

I have so much crap that I'll never do anything with. I've taken to giving stuff away on my racing blog. If I had time, I'd inventory it all, go down to the flea market, rent a table and sell 85% of it.

Here's me in '93 at Bill's old Dawsonville shop:

I'm pretty sure nobody has anything on my local Domino's delivery guy Jason AKA "The Nicest Guy in the World." At one time he built his own race car bed out of sheet metal from Joey Logano's car. He's built a full-size sim racer in his bedroom with real sheet metal and a tubular frame with a legit seat given to him from Mike Dillon. He's befriended lots of folks in the Cup garage and they hook him up with all kinds of stuff. He's a sim racer and raced in Earnhardt's league for awhile.

Looked decent to me. Not as many as at Atlanta, but decent, especially for Auto Club. There's only 2-3 shots of the stands here:

I am comparing to my younger years when people went for the entire weekend and auto club is a shit hole of a track and LA does not have much of a following but still a ton of empty seats. I admit I would rather set in my garage and watch then go to the track now a days but need to get my 8 year old to a race by next season. I figure we will go to LVMS where we can do the neon garage. At the track presence is down though.

    Today's winning prospects:
It's hard to bet against the top 4- Larson Hamlin, Keselowski, Truex. All these guys have consistent speed.

Auto Club has been good to other drivers like Logano, Kyle Busch, and Johnson. Busch starts 9th, while Logano and Johnson will start waaaay back due to missing qualifying. Passing tech has been a problem this season with numerous teams missing quals because of repeated passes through tech. If NASCAR's black helicopters are fueled up, Earnhardt will win in his 600th start.

I'm rooting for Blaney, Larson and Cassill, in that order and, as always: Not Any Gibbs driver or Johnson.
