awesome! I can't say that I have seen more though! It's been a couple years since my last visit!

I've spent a fair amount of time hiking and camping on the LT and AT. Those green mountains though... They're so friggin green. Went right around the beginning of June a few years back. It was gorgeous. Spent the better part of a week hiking before a member of the group concussed himself and we had to cut it short... Always want to go back.

Yes. I seams to have a more solid feel overall. I like the new features like navigation heated mirrors and auto dimming mirror. Nicer interior.

    Dang it.
I'd had myself talked out of looking at the new ones.
I came close to taking one out even parked beside it to size them up. Sales guy seen me and came out with keys like right off. He wanted to have mine priced while I went for a ride. It is nice but I'm still happy with mine.

Yea the body and shit are cool.
Guess I'm not a fan of the headlights.
I'm sure someone somewhere will come up with some that don't stick out from the body.
Like nips or something not sure just not a fan of them. Seems to be the new way just me.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was beginning to think Vermonters who drove Tacomas didn't belong to the forum. I'm a new member to the forum and new to trucks. After much debate between a Silverado and a Tacoma, I feel I made the right choice. I only considered the Silverado because I had the chance to drive one in Guam fell in love with the way the gauge cluster looks and the seating,(single cab). I also really like the body style of the 2002-2006 second generation Silverados. Anyway, I see a ton of Tacomas out here but it doesn't seem like any of them are modified other than the occasional cap or Tonneau cover. I'm flying down this coming Wednesday to pick up my truck. I'm very excited. It would be nice to start a meeting or something so we can buy and sell parts locally, trade, talk shop, go cruising, etc.

I homestead in Chelsea, but I commute to Burlington for work. Also, my work has me all over the state, I install and service two way mobile communications equipment for public service (police, fire dept., EMS, town highways) and various entities (schools, businesses, etc). There are some pretty remote areas that wouldn't be fun to get stuck in, that's why I want to build my Taco for self recovery and secondary vehicle extraction. The other day there was a downed tree in the road on the way to Williamstown. Luckily it was dead and was relatively light. I was able to drag it out of the way. Had that been a downed, live tree, I would've been screwed. Hence the reason I'd like to carry a chainsaw in my truck.

You can see the photos I have so far at the following link to my slow build thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...4-regular-cab-4x4-build.481969/#post-14707083

It's an hours worth of driving. The solitude allows me to focus my thoughts, very helpful.

    Good morning everyone.
    Yea I've done very little.
The logging road at camp was not to off roadish. And it was maintained used so the brush didn't rub.
I did the mud thing once what a pain in ass to clean. Plus it was at the wife's uncles farm. Smelt like cow shit for 2 weeks.

Yeah, mostly a great time to chair fly. I'm going to VTC for Pilot school so I zone out and think about flying. Hell, eventually I can just fly up to work. I'm definitely going to fly down to CT to eat at my favorite restaurant. Nothing like taking your wife on a surprise flight down to your anniversary restaurant when you're the Pilot in Command.

I like keeping a clean vehicle. Before I met my wife and had a WRX I spent 6 hours every weekend, washing, waxing, detailing, etc. Needless to say that all changed when I got married and had kids. Still, I don't want my truck to smell like cow manure or have mud caked in inaccessible places.

Ours have grown and I am back to having my spare time to dub around.
My daughter is getting married in few months. She's our youngest.

Is there any good parking down around the shore of Champlain? Or around church st? A meet would be cool around that area

In Burlington there is a park but parking is minimal, there is the sand bar in South Hero! East access big ass lot, with a beach some tree coverage the lake, picnic areas and grills
