Walmart carries fine Italian leather seat covers for driving in the south as well as covers for the south of the border trips.

Judging by your seat covers I surmise you voted for trump. I love my guns and manual tranny truck too. Dannyblues

I not only like your post and picture. I love it!!!! My TRD is black so I have three small Christmas trees hanging from the left on the turn signal indicator.
Tip: when the odor wore off and the truck began to smell like I was working in a horse manure pit for a week with no shower I simply spray them until saturated on both sides with orange " Ozium". Lasts pretty good. Or dip them into an essential oil you can pick up at a good health store. I get ozium at the auto store and I think Walmart had it a while back. Dannyblues

Another simple easy cheap tip I posted on the LED illumination thread:

Toyota engineers are idiots. Don't they realize many of us cover our cargo beds making the cab rear cargo light useless unless you uncover your cargo cover??

Tip: Please don't laugh or abuse me for this ok?
I purchased an inexpensive led flashlight that is pushbutton and has a length of led lamps along one side and a pocket clip plus a magnet on the other side. ( I bought a black one to match my truck- a bit fruity but hey I like it ). I attach the six inch flashlight to the metal trim area on the wall of the rear driver side for easy access even in the dark. So far in nine months of crossing railroad tracks, sliding in the ice, bumps etc that flashlight has stayed attached.

This handy little device works but why didn't the engineers install lights inside the cargo bed. I didn't feel like groping in the dark ( although groping in the dark can be fun if you have a partner ). Anyway I can access the stuff at the rear of the cargo bed with that little bright light.

Free tip number two: I'm on a roll!
Since I don't haul a lot of stuff and I have a roll up aluminum supported Truxsport cargo cover I wanted easy access to stuff I place at the rear of the bed , like beer, and groceries and a cooler etc. ( though I myself stopped drinking alcohol 42 years and 18 days and 8 hours ago - no I don't miss it obviously). So I installed a keeper bar with a ratcheting adjustment across the bed about three feet or less in from the rear. Then I used the sliding cargo hold downs to install a cargo net bag with three compartments to hold stuff in and mounted that to the OEM hold downs with four very large loop joiners with hinged closure. Works great. So now I have a car like trunk area that's useful.

    Last tip:
On every vehicle I've ever owned I wrap a valet key in electricians tape that's black and matches the undercarriage then tape it into a covered wiring harness or out of the way frame member where it's not even obvious to a mechanic working on my TRD on a lift. I place it so I can easily access it and unwrap it to gain entry at least if I lock my keys inside the truck

Hope you enjoyed these fascinating tips. Most of them are very cheap and easy Dannyblues

I remember 19 cents a gallon in Texas in the early 70s. Now just the tax is much more than that.

    Understood!

Here is what I use for Tacoma theft deterrent.

Had to go to Amazon instead of Walmart. Couple of squirts on the seat every few weeks is perfect.

Wow. But in Texas you can dig in your backyard to get oil. That's unfair. I can remember less but close to 25 cents per gallon but that's it. 1950's in NYC.

When I started driving ( legally ). ( I'd been driving my dad's 57 Chevy 210 two door hard top with 283 cu in v8 , four barrel Rochester carb and dual exhaust with the rare newly conceived turboglide transmission. It was copper penny gold and white roof and trim .... and it was FAST!!! Posi- rear too. I was 12) I don't recall gas prices in NYC in 1967 because it was so cheap two dollars collected from the pot heads and drunks I hung with gave me enough gas to run around locally and go parking with the engine, radio and heater on with some chick. But I do remember paying 35 cents a gallon. Then it jumped to 50 cents so I used to drive up the main boulevard just over the county line into Long Island proper and get gas for 35 cents a gallon again. Dannyblues

Looks like me before I lost weight and shaved my beard. Lots of Tacoma owners look like that but they wear NRA baseball caps. Dannyblues
