Here in Canada, I couldn't find a rust free replacement box for under $1000. Might as well flat deck it for cheaper. Should have it mounted later today depending on how easy my bed bolts are to break free

Anyone know the hose size of the oem vacuum hose for the brake booster for the 2.7? Part number 4477335550. Not wanting to spend $30 on a short vacuum line when I could most likely just get some line and put it on there in place of it. Mine doesn't leak yet but it is pretty cracked looking and I'd rather replace it before it does leak.

just checked and everything seems good timing/belt wise.

Not sure if its related or not but that day i opened hood to add wiper fluid and a bunch of snow fell down behind the engine. maybe water damaged the fpr or something else?

Take into account the age of the truck. I debadged mine, but I have outlines around the removed letters that do not come off with that 3M wheel or goo gone.

The next step will be a horrible freight rotary polisher and some buffing pads & compound. I also need to pick up another jack. My old one was fine for the Probe, or RX-7, but the taco is too high...

    improved toyota goodness.
not sure about the 4 banger; but when I replaced all the vacume lines on the 3.4l just after I bought my truck I used a section of tranny hose for the brake booster... 3/8 inch I think- but what I did was take samples into the store and have them match the size(s) with high quality fuel line or tranny fluid line.
it worked out to be just under 4$ a foot for all the lines... zero vacume or other engine problems in the 80k miles I've put on it since...
I still have all the original lines I saved as a backup but the ends look like someone played with a razor on the edges due to dry rot... it wasn't super obvious until I wiggled them but was enough to cause a slow seep-leak...

Turns out I had a small amount of 3/8th line around from when I had another line break on my truck recently (Not honestly sure what the line was for but it was not vacuum) Don't know why I didn't think to check that before hand but when you said 3/8th it just kinda clicked. Put it in seems to be the right size gonna put on new hose clamps and all should be well.

Installed some interior cap lighting. I intended to do two on each side, but I misplaced one bar. So, I did three and ordered four more.

Need to figure out proper wire management. But it works for now. Lovin' my wireless controller so far.

    Off (obviously)

    Let there be light.

Not as fancy as it looks. It's the poor man's version of the Trail Toys NSA switch panel. Fun project and pretty inexpensive.

Here are the guts of the operation.

Swapped out the tired old body mounts for new energy suspension mounts. The line on the rocker panels tells the tale, I picked up 1/4". Time will tell how much it settles.

FYI, do not attempt. This is bar far the worst job I've undertaken on the taco.

I wondered how long it would take someone to catch that. :anonymous:

That being said, there's a lot of people that jump their trucks way more/bigger than I myself, and I have not seen that same failure. Seems to me crawling and flexing would put much more stress on that crossmember than jumping would.

I don't think that picture is of door hinge.

I have a door latch, if that is what you need.
