True that, man! What are you running in the rear? Plans for LT? I rode with/watched enough guys with front LT and whatever in rear to know its best to do it all lol. That rear end slam is horrid. After my maiden run I knew I made the right choice waiting until I could do both.

Haha yes I definitely know the limits of mine and I don't run it that fast over the ruff stuff yet. In the rear it just has deaver springs, fox piggybacks and air bumps. It's works very well but I can tell the front wants to go faster when the rear says dont. I'd love to do a rear set up like yours but that will be down the road later..

 

Me right now everywhere I drive. And I still have 300 miles to go on break in.

 

What can I say but Oh My God!!! You are so far ahead of me in engineering and mechanics I feel like a mini moron in comparison. That is a mind blowing truck! Every mans dream. Haha thank you! Its been a long time coming to get it where it is today. I stopped really caring about my MPGS when I bolted on the Supercharger, its just to much fun. No bank ownership yet. But my job pays me alot of money for my skillset, so thats cool I guess. I basically funded the truck with my GI Bill benefits, granted, I could have had the entite thing payed off in the first year, but wheres the fun in that!

 

Couple updates-
Gears are in, did a 600 mile break in, boosted home after the oil change. Now I have a a whirring sound from the rear diff on decelleration. Shop that did the work says my Nitro gears I provided weren't very high quality and he couldnt get them set up perfectly. I have his assurances the diff wont grenade anytime soon, but Ill be bringing my stock diff along to Pismo juuuust in case. And when I get back he said he will install his Sierra brand of gears that I have to buy from him, for free. So free labor basically. I'll probably end up doing that just so I can get a full warranty for it all through him and then send out the "defect" Nitro geared diff to ECGS and have them set it all up so I get a warranty through them.

Other than that, I fuckin love the extra power. I'm already looking in to 35s since right now I'm at about 3k rpms at 75mph and I usually cruise around 75-80 on the way to work, so thats no bueno.

Got my skid built up finally, need to toss some paint on it when I'm off work. Added a new crossmember basically, tied it in to the lower bumper piece, so my clearance isnt exactly what it was, buts its still better than stock. 1/4" plate up front with the DOM framing, and then another piece of 1/4" plate underneath. This is just the first model of it, I think the bottom piece will get redesigned with gusseting and added fitment for more skids going back, there was also talks of countersinking the bolts down the road, so Ill have to start looking in to how I want it done.
Also, couldn't find a bolt that would screw in to the rear holes, I suspect the stock mount nuts are rusted out, gonna tap them out next week if I can find the oem bolt specs. Otherwise Ill just tap it out to a bolt I have.

 

Also, in case anyones wondering, we put the tubing far enough away that we can get the cam bolts out, so it kinda protects them a bit as well. Will probably redesign at some point for better clearance up front, but thats how it ended up for now and I'm happy with iy
