Hi guys, j just purchased a used oem bumper off of Craigs list because mine was starting to rust on the bottom of the bunper. I'm going to install the new one, but kinda want to cut up my old one. Maybe make an off road style bunper out of it. Seems like it would be easier to start with a template. Anybody have anything like this or ideas.

I know nothing about fabrication but I think it would be easier to simply use the old one as a guide and fabricate something completely new.

No doubt, I kind of like having the top of the bumper factory and add bracing and support to the lower section. Time to bust out the welder!

Started to cut the bumper a little. Just did a quick sketch of roughly what I want. Going to shorten the rounded side pieces for more clearance. There is a local dirt chassis race shop near me, going to contact him to see if he can help me out. I just started to lean how to weld and have been practicing. Should be a fun project for sure.

I'm sure there's enough welding with that to get you familiar.
