I am putting a 6 inch lift on my 2015 4x2 prerunner. I have order the lift, tires and wheels. I am going with 35x12.50R17. My question is... Will I have to do any cutting to get the 35s to fit on my truck. I see that some do and some don't. I am just curious if these tires will fit on my truck without any cutting?

    I dont think so.

Edit: 'fit' is kind of subjective

They may fit, but will likely rub at full lock.

I believe a lot has to do with the offset on the rims you'll have whether they rub or not.

You will have to cut the cab mount. It will rub on turns

Plan on trimming the plastic liner & probably the lower inner part of the fender flare. Also it's possible you'll need to do the cab mount chop. I'm at 7" & still rub there occasionally, I still need to do mine.

There's no welders or fab shops in your area? I think I know what you need to buy and learn to do you could make good side money in your area doing cmc;s and slider installs. I think we get 80 to do the weld in pre cut plates, 250 for a full chop, and 250 to istall the sliders

Swing by a shop and see what they say. It can't hurt and you might get lucky and get a good price. For you it'd be free because I know you'd help me. People who want to stand and watch pay.

Yeah I'm like you, I don't mind helping someone if they're gonna get in there with & get their hands dirty but I don't want to do all the work & definitely don't need an audience. Haha

I put the 6 inch lift on my truck with the 35s. Surprisingly i have no rubbing but i do have severe difference in driving. I havent done my alignment yet. Plan on doing so tomorrow. My truck is driving really rough. Takes alot to keep it between the lines. Its pulling and snatching the wheel from me over every little bump groove or curve of the road. Will the alignment take care of alot of the pulling and wandering?

Yeah for sure, you can't do anything to the front end & expect it to drive good without an alignment. It may start rubbing after the alignment when everything is back in spec.

When you get alignment try for higher castor numbers. If you can get up around +3 it'll help stabalize your steering and help clearance with regards to the cab mount

I have a little rubbing, but not bad. A lot will also depend on what kind of tires your ordered. Was it all terrain or a mud tire. Most mud tires are also doing to have thicker/bigger treads.

If you don't rub with 35s something is wrong.
