    Nice, the Cardiff is a nice reel and the 300 series hold a ton of line. I run the Calcutta in a 201 for Steelhead and 401 for salmon. I've really been saddened by Abu's quality on some of their reels for years.

    It was horrible.
    Plastic gears.
    I have black max and is ok but this is a new direction to try with a round bait caster.
    The stx felt sloppy and not meshing well.
    I tried the three they had and they felt the same.
    Made in China. What ya expect.
    You really need to get up in the 200 dollar range for harden gears and stuff now. I refuse. I love to fish but I'm not going to let a 400 dollar combo go overboard

    I know what your saying. That's what happened to me. My brother talked me in to trying some gear and that was all it took. I was like a crack junkie hence the 36 step program. Baby steps. My tools are the same way though so I blame some of my addiction on that. Lol
