Red turned out great. Top looks good. I'm guessing top didn't match well?

20tacoma17, yeah the top was red and the cost to have it professionally painted was more than I wanted to invest in a camper top. This was an easy cheap solution.

I used a hair dryer and heated the emblems and took them off. Cleaned the sticky residue off the truck with Goop be Gone and then bough the plasti dip cans, put on about 5 coats on the emblemwith about 15-20 mins between coats. I bought a role of 3M double sided tape and placed the emblems back on after the dried. The key thing is to take painters tape and mark around the emblems while they are on your truck so once you take them off to paint that you know here they should go back.
I first tried to leave the emblems on and peel the plasti dip off the truck around the emblems (saw it on a YouTube video), that was a major fail. Did not peel off as well as videos showed. Little more work but This worked out well.

Looks good. I think it'd look even better with the tires turned around so white letters don't show. Just a little less busy, considering everything else going on. Just my opinion. Nice improvements you made :)

I would have just left the emblems off. You dipped them like the hardest way possible haha. But glad you like it.

Top is ok. I get not wanting to spend money on painting it. I second putting a plasti dip clear coat on it to shine it up

I tried doing it without taking them off but the edges just wouldn't come off clean. This process was more labor intensive but came off cleaner. I may try that clear coat on there and see how it comes out.
