Just got a return email from Chase at ECGS. The most concise and informative email I have ever seen.

For the base diffs I would be looking at $1,290 all said and done.

@utroda if you deduct the arb aspect of your price, what's an estimate for just gears?

Well, I have read every post I can find on regearing, I think.

With the 8" rear on the FJ being so prone to blowing up (and the same rear being on the GX), it seems ECGS is the way to go, for their warranty if nothing else.

Bleh. This build isn't really going how I intended it to. Getting expensive.

Hopefully @Pelfreybilt doesn't make their aluminum bumpers for quite some time so I can stop spending money.

What they mean by "build" is building your credit.

 

I see the same thing where I work. There is a system in place for supervisors to document poor performance however, no one uses it and the site Project Manager has his favorites and he doesn't enforce anything.

Based on my first gen knowledge, which is a fair amount, the bed appears to not be original to the year. Latch style tail gates like that ended in 81 I believe. I've been wrong before though.

My 86 had the same latches. It's indicative of a very, very low end truck. Like... The base of the base models.
