The one in the photo I just slipped off a rock onto my axle, no biggie. I got stuck worse in North Jersey and also going up 1c I basically just dragged my truck up

I had to get out and inspect the damage. If you look close enough the passenger rear fender is sticking out a little further than usual.

Choose your point of failure and work backwards. I chose ball joints as they are the least costly to replace and I have all the tools necessary. Being that you have already gusseted your spindles, the force of hitting the bump stops at speed will go to the LBJ and the LCA joints. You can reinforce factory LCA joints by welding an extra strap around the bushing barrel. Closing down the valving on the compression stroke will put the force into the joints earlier than when the hitting the bumps. Same energy spread over a longer time equals less damage.

Exactly my train of thought. A slight increase on compression valving should absorb more of the energy sooner, keeping the hit on the bumps a little lighter.

This stream crossing has changed quite a bit since I've run that trail. We were also running it the other way and trying to go up that big hill you guys came down. Needless to say we werent successful.

The ass end seemed alot more composed than the front. Was thinking I needed a bit more rebound dampening on the front for a while. Guess I need to dampening both sides more. The valving was not changed from what DSM specs, despite the heavoer springs. I had thought that dampening should have been increased from the get go due to the extra weight on the front end.
