Boss Bass 600 Amplified SubWoofer

guess it was only a holiday special then. That link that Wolfgang posted for the 10" on the first page is still at $129, at least that didn't change.

 

I picked up the 1200 from Amazon for $109. Installed it behind the passenger seat in a DC. Had to cut away part of the lil shelf there. Mounted with industrial velcro, no rattling -- solid as a rock.

With stock speakers and a Kenwood Excelon 693, all I can say is wow! And yes, it does shake the mirrors starting about 16 on the HU volume.

Had to set the gain on the sub about 3/4 the way up, but now the kick drums truly have kick!

I'll post some pics when the weather warms up a tad.

I've had this in my cart on Amazon for a couple months. Prices fluctuate all the time with all products. Just the way it is. Seriously considering the 600 after changing my back seat to a pre-09 model. Glad to hear most reviews are on a positive note, no pun intended.

 

i was able to install my new HU and the sub under my seat in 2 hours.

 

i bought the 1200...and a kenwood kdc-983 i think not sure

 

After reading this im going to order the 1200 and sill use the stock flux capacitor.Since i've already changed my hu and speakers this should be what im looking for.

 

thats where i put my amplifier and then have a sub box going across both back seats when theyre folded down....big heavy and annoying but damn it sounds good ha. would like to get something like this instead though. sick o the headaches

 

does this work with the factory HU or do i have to buy a new one?

 

x2? Also, will one of these Boss subs fix under the front seat of a 07 DC?

dont mean to bring bad an old thread but i figured i would share for people that searched.

my 1200 just crapped out

it kicked a## sitting still ( as in truck not moving) but once you get going on the highway and anything above 60mph the bass fades out pretty easily. my truck isnt very insulated so thats part of it. oh well i might try something new i dont know the problem is i need somethin to fit under the seat thats small.

 

only real way to get a sub to work under a seat is to cut the floor and make a enclosure. I saw it done to a civic. Someone put a 10" sub into the floor under the passengers seat.

lol, I know right? I saw that in a thread for something else, it was more or less an example so I couldn't get much info on it (also the thread was pretty old). But from what I read, they said that under seat is the best place for sql. I would have closed it off though, I left an sub basket and motor out in the rain and the magnet got all this calcium grime all over it. Also I'd make it flush to the frame so it doesn't poke out.
