I was really skeptical about the Rev 2(s). I was going to get the BFG A/T or nothing. Then being the weak person I am...I bent because of the great deal I received.

The tires are real quiet on the road. Tire pattern itself is not that aggressive. I was concerned after I left Firestone. Then I went off exploring. They did real well. I went through some serious stuff. I don't know how they would do against a true A/T but they work for me. They are better than the H/T(s) it was wearing prior to the Revos.

I love mine. I drove through the blizzard that just hit the east coast 2 weeks ago. The roads around virginai up to Baltimore weren't plowed and I never lost traction. On wet roads they do really well too.

Good to hear!! I've been thinking about getting a set to replace my Destination A/T's, which are ok, but I expected better from them.

I can second the surprisingly good performance from the Revo 2's. Much better than the BFG rugged trails that were stock!

A good reminder of why they teach never to drive through moving water or water you haven't waded/sounded. Looking at that bog you didn't stand a chance.
Hard to tell from the pic but your only bet might have been to hug the edge.

On the other hand I have noticed drastically less hydroplaning with the Revo 2's as compared to the BFGs... If you still had your stock BFGs you might have been able to plane right across.

Bilstein 5100 set to 2.5" lift in front. Rear TSB with 1.5" rough country. Bridgestone Dueller Revo2 265/70/17 Satoshi mod, and painted center caps, tinted windows.
Anything is better than the junk Dunlops that are stock. Why does Toyota build such a great truck and put the worst tires on them?

    $$$$$$

I'm sure they save a substantial amount going with the stock tires they chose. It makes sense, in a way... 90% of the buyers won't care and the other 10% who do care likely would want something else anyway, even if they put good rubber on it to start.

I picked up a set myself too I think around Nov. Stock size and from Firestone also. Got a killer deal I couldnt pass up. It was time to replace the Dunlop. $660 out the door.

    I am very pleased w/the tires...sometimes a person needs to know his/her limitations....I am a slow learner...:D.

Truck is fine. I find myself dropping the skid plate alot lately to clean the dirt/mud out.

I've had BF Goodyear All-Terrain T/A KO's in the past and have had great success. I decided to try the Revo 2 on my lastest purchase and was a little shocked as to how much difference there was in tread depth between the two tires. The BFG have a tread depth of 0.50", while the Revo 2's only have 0.375", an 1/8" difference.

How many miles are people getting out of the Revo 2?

I am mainly interested in traction in snow and some mud. My off roading mainly consists old logging roads and forest roads that can become a slick clay mess after/during rain.

Any input would be appreciated...I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake by switching brands.

I had a set of Revo's, 1st gen. They were great I put 35K on them and then I gave them to my son, he should get another 10-15K out of them. I have had numerous sets of BFG KO's and still have them on my Jeep the Revos did just as well if not better as far as wear goes. I live on a one mile stretch of gravel road the gravel did not effect the Revos as much as the BFG's re faster wear and picking up rocks etc...

I've run many sets of Revo's, next will be 2's. Rotate them regularly and they will run you up to 70-75M miles easily.

Thank you for the responses. I'm looking forward to trying these Revo 2's out in some foul weather. And I'm feeling better about the purchase after reading some of the great comments on wear and performance.

    Thanks again!

Love my Revo 2's! They do very well in the rain and very quite as well. When they wear out, I will buy them again, no questions....
