I have to pick a set of sliders up from him. If your skids are ready around the same time, maybe we can all take a trip.

My buddy's about to make that mistake later this year. And I have to be the damn best man.

Yeah I get that guys want something to do, but I can't be having people do stuff for me. I've done everything myself so far except CVs and ADD. Those I got a lot of help with. I can't have you blokes doing my stuff for me. That's where my pride says no.

I enjoy it. Usually when I help I'm there to be an extra set of hands. In the meantime I'm learning so I can see how to do stuff to my own truck down the road.

And you already rode with me and experienced what Bilstein B6112/Eibach 700# front and Bilstein B110/OME Dakars with OME AAL's can do on the trail.

Pick your poison. Pick your budget.

Unfortunately, I find it difficult to see it that way. I just feel like I'm burdening others, and that shit doesn't fly with me. Plus, I learn better when I do it myself.

lol yeah the removal is the hard part. Nothing is going to come out easily. The installation should be infitintely easier.

But that's all too far off to see anyway. I doubt I will get to suspension this year.

Who said we'd do all the work? We'll just be there drinking all the beer, eating all the pizza and offering the occasional helping hand AND the unlimited amount of bad advice.

If anyone was there, that's all I'd want from now on tbh. But I get all pissed when I work on my truck, and no one wants to be there for that. Plus, socializing isn't my forte.

Might want to invest in some acetone and ATF... like enough to fill a swimming pool... just drive in and all the bolts will loosen up fast... but for real acetone and ATF is the best break free out there

I've heard that from a number of people. Haven't tried it yet, but when I do suspension, I will be trying it then.

The four of us could make the trip, if everything is ready at the same time.

I work on my shit myself almost exclusively. Sometimes it is nice to have someone around to lend a hand, or a shoulder to cry on, or even someone to try that thing that you have been trying for two hours with no success.

Looks like I need a few more trail spares/parts/tools: U-Joint Cap and Clip. Ball Joint tool kit. Who would've thunk.

I agree. I've done most my own stuff, even if I haven't done it yet in the past (which is almost every mod/repair on my truck.) But I have no problem asking for help when shit's too heavy (Plate bumpers - Thanks @diabetik81, @Tatts521 and @Lilcarkid ) or I don't trust myself, yet (brake bleeding - Thanks @HolyHandGrenade ) or I'm too weak (removing brake line flares - Thanks again @HolyHandGrenade , conqueror of frozen nuts.)
