Recall 3rd Gen Windshield??

I say the glass is fine. All chance. Here in AZ I went through multiple windshields on a MKIV Supra and a Mazdaspeed 3. Don't remember having to replace one on an Integra. 15K on the truck and a couple of chips, but nothing yet. Free glass on the insurance is no brainer here.

Here in Phoenix, I'm on my second windshield in 12000 miles. I also change my 4 Runner at least once per year. Typically I live with chips until they get bad. Welcome to the AZ.

Sheeeeeeit. I'm moving there next week. Here in Pennsylvania I've been driving for 15 years and my score is exactly 0 cracks/chips. I guess it's the rocky soil?

Just had mine replaced today. 3k miles on truck and rock popped up and cracked windshield yesterday....After 2 hours in sun crack spread. The installer stated today that he feels the quality of my new glass "fuyao" is pretty good and he would run it on his car. He also stated that Pilkington just doesn't have the quality they used to. First two pics of are my cracked glass and second 2 are of the new one. The glass installed was $650.

Was the $650 for dealer installed, Safelite installed or somewhere else? 1,300 miles and just got a major, stone chip caused, crack. I'm trying to decide whether to go to the dealer and get it replaced or Safelite.
