    I perused the different DIY links but hadn't noticed this one; or how much it was affecting me.

    I purchased an '03 a few weeks ago and though I love the truck... and I have a "perfect alignment"... Firestone and the Dealership couldn't figure out why my truck was "absorbing the road" as they called it.

    Read through that thread and checked it; sure enough I'm affected. The jumping all over the road was driving me crazy and I was a bit less than thrilled. Thought it was simply a terrible design on Toyota's part.

    To see how simple this is an that I can do it under a couple of hours (best bud who is a few doors down is an industrial welder) I think I owe you bigtime for bringing this to my attention!

    That TRD shift knob though... tacks on about 15 horse and 30 more lb-ft.

    :) totally got it for my ride too :)

    Steering column but I used an 1/8th inch roll pin from Home Depot. Drilled factory hole out were plastic is injected into it. Plus no welder at house.

    I didn't even realize that it would fit, there's a clock in the center of the bezel and the vents are in different places.

    That's what I was thinking. He may have rerouted the vents and the clock, but that seems like a lot of work for a bezel. Maybe there's an aftermarket one for Tacomas.

    OME Coils/Bilstein 5100's front / 5125's rear 105 Amp Denso Alternator
    I'm jealous of you guys with a stick shift. At least you can change yours out. There isn't an option for the automatics, without cutting the OD wire or being extremely careful in removing it, to remove the selector. I can't remember if it was this site or another site where someone had replaced their automatic selector with a fighter control stick. Look pretty sweet.

    Nope, is a Tacoma wood dash kit I bought back in the 90s.

    I found a wall mounted fake bald eagle placard in a thrift store. I thought... I gotta put that on the front of my truck with a blond toupee. I made it work and damn if it ain't fun to see the different reactions driving around. Range from puzzlement to momentary puzzlement and laughter to puzzlement and disgust.
