After our storm of the century up here in Northeast PA that blessed us with about 30" of the white fluffy stuff I noticed that one of my mud flaps was hanging on by 1 screw (3 missing). I took it off so I don't loose it.

Anyone know a part number for the screws ? id like to replace them with the correct ones . .

    all tore up already
Careful, the holes in the plastic fender lining are probably larger now. Ive been losing a battle with my rf mudflap. "Xmas tree" body fasteners seem to be a better hold for me (though they will pop out when ya hit the flap again)

I've had issues with rescrewing the screws... doesn't seem to bite, I can screw forever and never reach full tightness....

Wonder if a guy could squirt some silicone in the hole before he threads the screw in if that would help it stay in?

Yeah, I gave up on my front mudflaps last week. Truck looks better for it, but we'll see how the paint on the doors holds up. May eventually go with an aftermarket option with more flex if it becomes an issue, and may try the silicone fix pondered above.

you can buy the plastic inserts and plastic pop screws at a dealer
they have piles of them usually

but the phillips/hex/flange ...nope they usually do not stock them but can be ordered

    hardware stores have those
nearly identical to stock they just haveta be short

    maybe you can get them

    screw is the screw

grommet is the squarish black plastic piece behind it the
    screw goes into.

you can yank your old grommets out... they have
two plastic nubs the screw pushes out when installed that do not retract
easily, you need may need a spudger to get them out

silcone is 100% useless in this type of application. it won't stay sticking
if you want to use a glue-type fix use lexel at least lexel will stay put and never lose it's grip

you'd be better off getting new grommets or bigger screw thread

Thanks for posting this. I'm pretty sure my grommets are stripped. :(
