What I learned last night in the Kyle is a fucking tool thread.

If you want to be first to stick it in that sweet turdcutter, you're gonna get in a fistfight with @T4RFTMFW

More shit then I ever planned on doing
Almost made a costly mistake today at work scaling some plans. Apparently my eyes don't focus enough on a 60 scale. Guess it's time to get my eyes checked. Getting old sucks!

I need to get a smog on my Tundra but I have a CEL for an O2 sensor, can I just clear the code and go for a smog? Or will it be stored in the ECU and show up?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Nope as soon as you clear it your services will reset when they hook up the machine it will see that nothing is complete. I had that problem with the Tacoma after a dead battery I had to drive around for hours to get everything to complete.

Hmm, maybe I'll try driving it around today and test it tomorrow, granted the light doesn't come back on. Thanks, hate to waste my time dropping it off.

I cleared a CEL and subsequently failed a smog, the tech said certain number of miles required after code clear. Forget how many. Maybe call and ask?

Once you clear it you will have to go through the drive cycle to reset everything the evap is the only one CA allows to be not complete during a smog. Sorry man you need to fix your problem before it will pass.

With OBDII they just hook up the machine to your smog system and check it's working properly. Your engine computer will have a pass/not pass for all the smog stuff in the engine. If you clear them then they'll be in a "ready" state and you'll have to drive around to do all the internal checks before they can smog it.

So if you have a CEL and it's smog related it won't pass.

It's usually the downstream o2 sensor that causes the CEL if that's the problem.

    Otherwise it's a bad cat...
