Hey, everyone! This is the official thread to bridge between TW and SoCal Tacomas. This thread is to help gain club support, answer questions, and to let local TW members know of more meets here in Southern California!

The goal of this club is to create and maintain a dedicated group of Tacoma enthusiasts through regular monthly meets (usually with a trail run afterwards), semi-annual dedicated off-road meets, and other smaller barbecues and member-started mini-meets aside from the official group meets.

More membership information to come soon, but we do know that there will be a membership fee that includes a Club Coin, but there are no yearly dues. Once you're in, you're in!

Also, this is definitely a family-friendly group, so spouses, children, pets, or whatever are more than alright to come along! Also feel free to bring other friends and their trucks, cars, whatever; anyone is able to come out and be a part of the group!

Anyways, feel free to follow this thread for more information about meets, memberships, fundraisers, or just to ask questions and talk to other members!

I like TW where it doesn't cost a thing to join. Free t-shirts, decals, etc... at meets Just saying...

The membership fee is so that we can have group funds to do giveaways, raffles, or to help cover overnight fees at campsites or whatever.

We're trying to try to keep costs low, and again it's a one-time-only fee, so there's no renewal or yearly dues involved.

Free t-shirt and stickers? Who's gonna pay for this " free stuff " anything that's worth having is worth paying for. If you got it for free chances are you're not gonna take care of it.

Could a sworn there was a SoCal Tacoma club a few years back. Membership by invite only, started by a few disillusioned TTORA'ers - @TacoDell may remember those days

It's worth noting that were still trying to iron out the details as far as membership is concerned, so nothing is set in stone at this point.

But yeah, basically we're trying to re-start the old SoCal Tacomas after they've all but disbanded, but we're trying to do it in a way that allows us to create interest through regular meets, giveaways, and the like. My hope is that we can work with TW members (of which I've been a member already for a while) to share interest between the two groups.

Inclusion rules are cool such as "Everyone is welcome no matter if your mom does not like you", exclusion rules are not nice such as "Non-Tacomas must be accompanied by a host member" I ride with a bunch of Rubicon bitches... but they are my bitches and accept me as i am a pre-runner tacoma... my recomendation would be to remove exclusions and everyone is welcome.. membership will filter out by itself. just my 2 pesos....

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the "host truck" rule and I'd like to have that omitted entirely. I mean we're still called "SoCal Tacomas" no matter who shows up.

I think the rule is just a safety so that we don't get outnumbered by non-Tacomas, but to be honest I don't see that happening anyways.

We're still figuring out little details like that, but I'll be sure to ask about previous members with the rest of the group admins.

I'd say yes, but it's not entirely up to me, so I'll have to get back to you on that.
