This will be my last comment on the subject because it is starting to get WAY too political for this forum.

Todays LIBERAL theories on rehabilitation and drug treatment is PURE LIBERALISM at it's worst. While YOU may see it as laughable, I fail to see it as a joke. The education system that feeds the liberal system is based on what amounts to nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. Liberal "educators" creating a system that requires MORE and MORE people in the system to continue to feed the system as it grows and grows. A self perpetuating pyramid scheme.....on and on. You can question my "facts" as I question yours, but that won't get anywhere because it is a given that the drug problem is continuing to get worse, not better... Any attempts to deny that is simply being short sighted. As far as "your degree"....You think that qualifies you as an expert? Not necessarily so. I'm a double diplomate.....TWO degrees in engineering, BOTH from 2 of the most highly respected engineering schools in the country. Does that make me double the "expert" in my chosen field? Not at all. It means I am accomplished at GETTING DEGREES....Doesn't really speak to my qualifications as an engineer. Same with a degree in criminal justice.....My son has that same degree, as well as almost completed with a law degree. He has actually put his to use (NSA agent at the moment) A college degree qualifies you as a college graduate....and NOT as an expert in the program you elected.

The current "AKA" is not to blame for the problem in and of itself. It is just the latest ends to a mean for paying for what doesn't work. That's why I brought the AKA up. Not dwelling on it as the cause.

Point is, the "theory" of treating those convicted of drug crimes as some sort of "victims" is a joke. They need to be held accountable for what they did FIRST and FOREMOST. If they show ANY chance of being normalized once they have done their due, THEN they can receive treatment AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

The theory of rehabilitating criminals and drug addicts is nothing new. It's been tried for (literally) centuries. Some how, they still manage to convince people it will work in the majority of cases. Reality shows different. It works OCCASIONALLY.

Dude I'm not even going to read past the first two sentences of this political rant. What I was trying to discuss isn't political. But you keep making it political and I'm not getting banned over it.

My "empathy" is for innocent victims and those who pay for those who find drugs as their answer. Do the crime...do the time....It's that simple. If the theory of coddling criminals actually worked, why is crime and drug use on a massive UPSWING....

    Please educate YOURSELF....

It's not. Please educate yourself. Ask anyone who studies criminology, not politicians.

I grew up near Tahoe, have live all over the world in beautiful places, including Hawaii, but always took it for granted. Always seems weird to hear people talk about how they'd like to visit places that I've lived and took for granted.

This is how I feel about the PNW at all times. It's gotta be the most beautiful thing in the world but all out of towners tend to think of is the rain.

    REALLY?

    You sticking with that claim?

You just lost ANY possibility of EVER having any credibility on the subject
