I'm following now.. sorry it was early when I read that. I guess I will need to do the chalk test then. Didn't realize it could be an issue. Thanks for the info

I'll have to disagree on the look, but to each their own.

I haven't yet, but I think it'll work. I have mine scooted to the rear as far as I can. It'll def fit if I move it forward a little.

No new UCA. Alignment and cv angles are good. Had to get wheel spacers to avoid hitting UCA because I'm running stock wheels with those tires.

Thanks for posting this! With the scoooop and HUGE pillars on the truck, any extra visibility is welcome.

Hey, guys I'm really liking the grille mods you have done. I'm looking to change my chrome grille to black. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thx

I've done mine just using Rustoleum Universal Satin Black paint. I took the grille assembly off the truck and then removed the Toyota Emblem and Outer Chrome Trim Ring. I left the Chrome insert in place and taped it off so I could paint just the insert. Used Alcohol wipes to clean the grille insert and then sprayed 3-4 coats of the Universal Stain Black paint and let it dry. Then just put it all back together and it's been holding up well for 6 months now! I did add a TRD Emblem that I got on ebay for about $15.00. But otherwise it was only about $6.00 for the paint!

OK, sweet! That's what Ill try. I took the grille to a paint shop and they said they can't paint over the chrome.

Decided after 11 months and final test last week to keep it and be happy, happy ,joy , joy. Pulls my 8 1/2' wide by 20' pontoon boat at 65 mph on hilly roads as good or better than my old 98 5.9L Dodge 1/2 ton . First time pulling the boat further than from the launch down the road to home at 25 mph . All petty problems aside after the trans TS-b's were applied , its a keeper .

blow it off first with a can of keyboard cleaner, but not too close. your worst enemy for scratching is probably the dust and dirt. then do like fred says.

Those tires are way too expensive for premature wear. Just trying to give some constructive advice. At normal pressure it could give a balloon effect and just wear the center. The best response would be a wider rim but the chalk test will tell you what psi lets the tread wear more evenly.

Sorry, but look again at the front fender. I'm nor sure but i dont think a new bumper is going to cover that.

Siliconed my roof rack. I hope this truck is better built than the rack screws. What pieces of shit. I like the look of the rack and it holds my step ladder. Silicone during install and your all set. Doing it after and one slip of the ratchet, the screws fall apart. And probably shouldn't do it with a broken hand
