Ok so it looks like we have a pretty large group going with us. So we will probably need a 3 or 4 grills/skottles to cook on out there. Just an FYI. Also make sure if you are cooking that you have enough food for everyone.

I was thinking about this the other day too. With the large group going, are we going to have to break up into multiple campsites? I have a grill and camp stove so I'm set along with whoever is at the site I'm at, but may make it hard to cook for the others if we're spread across the park.

I have 4 new green coleman propane bottles for the stove and my grill. Sounds like we'll have plenty between us all.

I will have a 20lb propane bottle that people can use, I have the tube to hook it to a coleman stove, not sure what else it could connect to?

It's basically a metal disc (like a wok) with a propane burner suspended underneath it. You cook right on the metal disc.

@rpkole - Are you going to make it out on this trip?

@Infernozach17 - Are you camping in Abilene Wednesday night? Or, heading out early Thursday with @Geremy and I?

We'll see if there's anyone else leaving Thursday, but I was thinking we would meet at the Pilot Travel Center (1201 I-20 W) in Weatherford.

We could try to meet up with the Abilene group, but if they're looking to leave around 5am, we'd have to roll out from Weatherford by 3am. That means we'd have to leave our houses around 2am. Other option is to try to catch up with them on the road. Besides stopping for gas once or twice along the way, I'm fine to book it all the way to Big Bend and be there hopefully within an hour or so of the others.

Do you have a either a CB or 2 way radio?

Everyone should have either CB or 2 way and I have both. I think we could relay between the two if someone didn't have one or the other.
